Barbara McVicker is an elder care expert, national speaker, and author of 3 award winning books about care giving elderly parents. Barbara has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, CNN, NPR, NBC, and more. She recently launched her very successful national Public Television Special “Stuck in the Middle: Caring for Mom and Dad”. Barbara was one of the 21 speakers interviewed for the book “Finding Speaking Success – Mentoring Tips from the Masters”.
Barbara works with firms and advisors to (1) Differentiate themselves from the competition, (2) Attract new clients, and (3) Grow their firm by empowering their family caregiving clients with the tools and support to care effectively for their aging parents while also caring for themselves.

Barbara resides in Columbus, Ohio with her husband. She is an aspiring pilot, SCUBA diver, and has been on all 7 continents.

Barbara was a caregiver to her parents for 10 years while raising two children and struggling to maintain her career as a high-level development director. Overwhelmed and feeling isolated, she eventually quit her job to care for her parents full-time.
As an elder care expert, she works with healthcare professionals, caregivers, financial institutions, human resource work-life balance departments, and trains sales personnel. Barbara offers emotional support and essential information to adult caregivers.
