Back-to-School Just Another Complication for Parents Caregiving Elderly Relatives

Preparing their children to go back to school is yet another check on the long to-do list of busy parents who are “stuck in the middle” of caregiving for their elderly parents and their own children.

The “sandwich generation” is the term which now describes the growing generation of Americans who are sandwiched in between raising their kids and taking care of their parents. It is estimated that 75 million Americans are caring for an elderly parent, many while working full time and caring for a family.
